About Us
Iowa Diaper Depot got started as we sat around the kitchen table and contemplated how we could help support our families and spend more time with our kids. The answer seemed to present itself as we discussed the latest parenting issues we were facing, one of the big ones being that Kelly's sons, KJ, was allergic to disposablable diapers and she was not sure how she was ever going to survive life with a busy husband, two little ones, and cloth diapers! With the encouragement of Shelly it soon became a very simple way of life. Shelly was able to asure me that cloth diapering of today was nothing like it was when she was raising her kids, 3 that all were in cloth. After discovering just how easy cloth diapering was Tiffany was soon on board as well. Cloth diapering today is very easy with trimmer more absorbent diapers, snappies instead of pins, and adorable waterproof covers that are bright colors and fun patterns.
Having used cloth diapers had inspired each of us to become more green in our thinking and develop a greater appreciation of the smaller carbon footprint we are leaving. We would love to share this experience with you as well.
Shelly is married to Bob and serves as the mentor to all of us with her many years of cloth diapering experience. She has three grown children and two grandchildren who keep her on her toes. She has worked for several years as a medical transcriptionist. Her free time is spent walking, lunches with friends and going to Nebraska football games.
Tiffany and Brent are the proud parents of Brady, 2, and Bentley, 4 months. Tiffany is a graduate of Coe College and a nurse at the University of Iowa. With the small amount of free time she has she enjoys running, shopping, playing volleyball and spending time with her kids.
Kelly and Chris have two active boys Keaton, 2, and Kenton, 4 months. Kelly is a graduate of UNI and taught 7th and 8th grade mathematics prior to staying at home. When she is not spending time with family and friends she enjoys to run, play golf, bake and read.
