FAQs

1. What do I need to get started?

You will need cloth diapers, snappies or diaper pins and 6-8 waterproof diaper covers.  We sell Thirsties brand diaper covers which are a single layer waterproof laminate fabric with Velcro closures.  These covers can be purchased in our optional startup packages.

Other items you might find useful in cloth diapering is cloth liners and doublers.  Liners are used once the child starts solid foods to make a soiled diaper easier to change.  Doublers are used to add extra absorbancy at naptime and bedtime.  Liners and doublers are available for weekly rental.

2. What do I do with the soiled diapers until pick-up day?

Place all soiled diapers in the diaper pail liner that is provided.  Any solid poop should be flushed down the toilet and should not be thrown into the pail.  Once your diaper cover becomes soiled simply toss it in your laundry basket and wash it with your regular laundry.  We do not wash diaper covers.

3. What kind of diapers will I receive?

Unbleached Indian pre-fold diapers.  When you receive these diapers they will be a light brown in color the way nature intended.  Fear not, they are clean and sanitized.

4. What will my diapers be laundered in?

After much research we have determined that Country Save is hypoallergenic, safest for babies skin and environmentally friendly.

5. What if I have multiple children in diapers?

Then cloth is the perfect solution for you.  We take care of the multiple mess, you take care of the multiple children.  The advantage to cloth is you can use the same size diaper on several children.  If you choose to use Thirsties diaper covers they can be adjusted to the different sizes of your children.

6. I want to use cloth but my daycare provider will not allow it?

Give us a call and we would be more than happy to work with you so please do not give up on cloth just for this reason.  We would love the opportunity to show your daycare provider just how easy cloth really is.

7. When my diaper pail is stinky, what can I do?

You may need a new deodorizer disc if you are choosing to use them.  Otherwise just sprinkle 1 tbsp of baking soda in the bottom of your liner.  Baking soda will not alter the integrity of your diapers.

8. What about holidays?

For major holidays we will let you know our schedule several weeks in advance to arrange for a pick-up day that will work for you.

9. What about inclement weather?

You can assume that we will make our deliveries unless you here from us.

10. What if it rains on my delivery day?

No problem your diapers will arrive in a zipped, waterproof liner.  Please make sure your liner with the soiled diapers is fully zipped as well.

11. What if I am on vacation?

Please contact us and we will make the necessary arrangements with regard to your diapering needs.

12. Do you offer gift certificants?

They are available in one month increments.

13. Can I use diaper cream?

In the rare case that your child will experience diaper rash while in cloth diapers you may use the following creams:  Angel Baby Bottom Balm, Balmex Ointment, California Baby.  If there is another cream you would like to use, please give us a call before using it.  DO NOT USE DESITIN.

14. How do I cancel my service?

We sincerely hope you only cancel service because your child is potty trained.  If you are canceling for any other reason, please let us help fix the problem!  To cancel please call us with at least one weeks notice.  There is a charge for missing or damaged rental items.  $2.00 per diaper, $2.00 per doubler, and $20.00 per diaper liner and $40.00 per diaper pail
